Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install O-ring seal (20) on the plug. Replace seal kit (22) on valve (23) . Note that spring (21) will fit in valve (23) in only one direction.
Install valve (23) , spring (21) , and check valve (19) in main control valve (8) . The torque for check valve (19) is 175 15 N m (130 11 lb ft).

Install relief valve assemblies (17) and (18) in main control valve (8) . The torque for the relief valve assemblies is 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).

Install spool (16) in main control valve (8) in the original position.

Install the following items on main control valve (8) : O-ring seal (15) , retainer (11) , spring (13) , spring (12) , shims (14) and housing (10) .
Make sure that the boss on retainer (11) fits in the slot in housing (10) correctly. Install bolts (9) that hold the housing to the main control valve. Tighten the bolts evenly in order to avoid damaging the housing. The torque for the bolts is 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Install the following items on main control valve (8) : O-ring seal (3) , retainer (7) , spring (6) , spring (5) , shims (4) and housing (2) .
Make sure that the boss on retainer (7) fits in the slot in housing (2) correctly. Install bolts (1) that hold the housing to the main control valve. Tighten the bolts evenly in order to avoid damaging the housing. The torque for the bolts is 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).Note: If any of the components in any of the six pilot housings were replaced, the spring tension must be reset. The following steps are for setting the spring tension.

The typical setup for setting the spring tension includes the five components from the specific pilot housing. Stack the components on Tooling (A) in the following order: retainer (43) , spring (44) , spring (45) , shims (46) and retainer (47) .
Compress the springs for the lift spool under a force of 323 15 N (73 3 lb). A dimension of 43.0 0.10 mm (1.69 0.004 inch) from the end
