Rework Procedure
Machine Preparation
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be cleaned thoroughly. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the components.Note: Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes to keep contaminants from entering the system.Note: Permit only one person on the machine. Either keep others away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position.
Activate the parking brake.
Place blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Stop the engine and allow the engine to cool.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to the machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual for instructions.
Turn battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Drain the air tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual , “Air Tank Moisture and Sediment – Drain” for the correct procedure.Procedure

(B) Air compressor
Disconnect hose (A) from the air compressor (B) on one end and air dryer on another end. Save all bolts, washers, and clips for reuse. Discard the hose (A).

Install connector (1) to air compressor (B). Install O-Ring seal (2) on to the connector (1).

Install hose assembly (3) from connector (1) on the air compressor (B) to the air dryer. Use the hardware that was removed in Step 1 to secure the hose to the machine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Start and operate the engine. Allow the air system to build pressure. Check the machine for any leaks. Correct any issues before returning the machine to service.
