EngineG3606 (S/N: 4ZS1-80003)G3608 (S/N: BEN1-1214)Description Of Change: The new thermocouples have an extended probe to provide extended life for the thermocouple grommet and harness.Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.The new thermocouples have been extended by 35 mm (1.3 inch) between the mounting nut and 90 degree bend. This moves the thermocouple away from excessive heat which provides extended life to thermocouple grommet and harness.

When the new thermocouples are installed, it is necessary to install new 9X-3402 Connector Socket in the factory wiring harness mating connectors as well.Note: The thermocouples must be outside the exhaust heat wrap/insulation to prevent excessive heat damage.The required parts for installing new thermocouples are listed below:
