This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI30194" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI30194" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Donot perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the terminationdate without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe July 5, 2001 Service Letter. Changes were made to the Affected Product,Parts Needed, Action Required, Service Claims Allowances, Parts CounterCustomer Notification, Owner Notification, and Parts Disposition.

A machining error can cause the cylinder linerto crack. This crack can result in the bottom of the cylinder liner separatingfrom the cylinder liner flange in certain 992G Wheel Loaders, 854G WheelTractors, D11R Track Type Tractors, 777D, 777D HAA, 785C, 789C and 793COff Highway Trucks, and 3508, 3512, and 3516 Engines.This problem applies to 1189494 and 1238206Cylinder Liners. These cylinder liners are also used in the following RemanufacturedCylinder Packs:0R-4445 0R-4452

0R-4451The above cylinder liners with DATE CODES of "3270" (Nov 22, 2000) through "349 0" (Dec 14, 2000) SHOULD NOT be used.The cylinder liners with the date code of "3500" and with sequence numbers below 23336 should also not be used.Liner date code "350 0" with sequence numbers23336 and up are OK to use.AFFECTED PRODUCT
Use the following serial numbers when reportingthe inspection and/or repair of an inventory Remanufactured Engine. Ifthe Remanufactured Engine has been installed in a vehicle chassis, usethe chassis serial number.
