The unit will store up to 150 alarms and/or events in the memory, along with a date stamp and a time stamp that shows when the alarm and/or event has occurred. On all alarm and/or events a snapshot of all the measured values is kept. The parameters that caused the trip can be accessed on the display by the log button. All other parameters at the time of the trip can be accessed via the Utility SW. CommunicationThe unit is equipped with two standard communications ports.
Display communication, which is used for the connection between the main unit and the display.
RS232 Mod-bus communication is used for the connection of the main unit and a PC. From the PC, the Utility SW can be used to upgrade the parameters, basic SW and to view status information under commissioning conditions. Since this is a simple RS232 Mod-bus communication port, the port can also be used by Caterpillar Technicians and Service Personnel to set options, parameters, or even as a test interface in order to get the measured values to a Caterpillar test system.I/O list
