Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.

Open access panel (7) on the left side of the machine.

Remove clamp (8) .

Remove 4 cable clamps (10) .

Remove three mounting bolts (11) for the fender.

Remove three mounting bolts (12) for the fender.
Remove the front left fender.

Assemble the tooling.

Disconnect fitting (14) for the case drain line from the generator motor at fitting (13) .

Connect Tool (A) to the motor at fitting (13).

Connect Tool (G) to the case drain hose at fitting (14).
Move screed lift switch (4) to the HOLD position.
Move engine start switch (6) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Move generator switch (15) to the ON position.
Read the flow. The flow should be less than 2.0 L/min (0.5 US gpm). If the flow rate is outside the specified range, the motor is not operating within design parameters. The motor should be repaired or replaced.
Move generator switch (15) to the OFF position.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.
Remove the tooling. Reconnect the case drain line to the generator motor.
Replace the front left fender. Replace bolts (11) and (12) for the fender mounting. Replace cable clamps (10). Replace clamps (8) and (9) .
Close the access panel.
