Drain the engine coolant.

Remove hose (1) .
Disconnect hose (4) closest to the engine front housing.
Disconnect hose (5) closest to the water pump discharge tube.
Remove elbow (2) .
Remove any lines attached to the discharge ports (3) .
Install two 8T-6757 Pipe Plugs into discharge ports (3) .
Temporarily secure hose (4) to the compressor housing in order to prevent the hose from moving in the event of an internal high-pressure leak.
Install one 8B-2664 Reducer Bushing into the port that elbow (2) was previously removed from.
Connect shop air pressure to the reducer bushing using an air chuck to 1/2 inch - 14 NPTF adapter.
Apply 690 kPa (100 psi) shop air pressure to the inlet port of the air compressor.
Check hoses (4) and (5) for air leakage.
If, air flow is not present in either of the hoses, the air compressor is OK.
If, air flow is present in either of hoses (4) and/or (5) the air compressor is not OK. Replace the air compressor.
Remove the air chuck adapter and the 8B-2664 Reducer Bushing .
Install elbow (2) that was previously removed.
Install hoses (1), (4) and (5).
Remove plugs (3) from the discharge ports, install any lines that were previously removed from the compressor discharge ports.
Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to the specific application Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".
