Start By:a. Remove tire and rim assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim Assemblies - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.b. Remove final drive planet carriers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive Planet Carriers - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.1. Fasten Tooling (A) and a suitable hoist to the wheel assembly.
Typical Example2. Remove bolts (1), plate (2) and the shims from the wheel assembly.
Typical Example3. Remove hub (4) from the wheel assembly. Remove wheel assembly (3) from the spindle. The weight of the wheel assembly is approximately 105 kg (231 lb). 4. Use Tooling (B) and a press to remove the bushing from the inside of hub (4). 5. Use Tooling (C) to remove bearing cone (5) from the hub.
Typical Example6. Remove outer half of Duo-Cone seal (6) from the wheel assembly. 7. Remove bearing cups (7) from the wheel assembly.
Typical Example8. Remove bearing cone (9) and the inner half of Duo-Cone seal (8) from the spindle.
