Remove the front track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame (Front) - Remove".Note: The front track roller frame does not need to be completely removed from the machine in order to replace the chrome bearing.

Attach a suitable lifting device onto front track roller frame (3). The weight of front track roller frame (3) is approximately 3810 kg (8400 lb). Move chrome bearing (2) to the location of the suitable lifting device. Place Tooling (A) under recoil spring housing (1). Remove the suitable lifting device.
Remove chrome bearing (2) from front track roller frame (3) and recoil spring housing (1). Attach the suitable lifting device and remove Tooling (A) .Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to front track roller frame (3). The weight of front track roller frame (3) is approximately 3810 kg (8400 lb). Use the suitable lifting device to raise the rear of front track roller frame (3) to 15 degrees or more. Place Tooling (A) under recoil spring housing (1) in order to hold front track roller frame (3) in position. Remove the suitable lifting device.
Raise the temperature of chrome bearing (2). Slide chrome bearing (2) onto recoil spring housing (1) to Tooling (A). Attach the suitable lifting device and remove Tooling (A). Slide chrome bearing (2) to the larger diameter of recoil spring housing (2) .
Carefully slide chrome bearing (2) onto recoil spring housing (1). Use a suitable block to apply constant pressure on chrome bearing (2). The suitable block will help prevent chrome bearing (2) from bouncing away from the proper area of installation.Note: Do not allow the temperature of chrome bearing (2) to cool during the installation procedure. If chrome bearing (2) is installed in an incorrect position, chrome bearing (2) must be removed and a new chrome bearing must be installed.End By: Install the front track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame (Front) - Install".
