Information:

20 Remove wear plate (22) from the cam. 21. Put barrel (17) in position in a press. Put tool (C) on the barrel for protection of the face from scratches. Put tooling (G) between the press head and spring spacer (25). 22. Push down on spring (24) to release the pressure against snap ring (26).23. Remove snap ring (26) with tool (F). Slowly release the compression on spring (24).24. Remove spacer (25), spring (24) and spacer (23) from the barrel. 25. Hit retainer (27) lightly with a hammer and remove the retainer from the pump body. 26. Remove two lip type seals (28) from the inside of the retainer. Remove two O-ring seals (29) from the outside of the retainer. 27. Remove bearing cup (30) with tooling (H) from the pump body.Assemble Fixed Displacement Piston Pump
1. Thoroughly clean all the parts. Put a small amount of hydraulic oil on the pump parts. See GUIDELINE FOR REUSABLE PARTS PISTON PUMPS AND MOTORS, Form No. SEBF8032 and SEBF8033 for assistance in inspection of the part. 2. Heat bearing cone (1) to a maximum temperature of 275°F (135°C). Put the bearing cone in position on shaft (2). 3. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (3). Install the bearing cup in head (4). 4. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (5). Install the bearing cup in pump body (6). Make sure the cups and cone are against their respective shoulders.5. Do the following procedure when a replacement of shaft bearings, shaft, head or body is made: Do not install the barrel assembly or pistons for this procedure. If a replacement of the shaft bearing, shaft, head or body is not necessary, go to Step 6. a) Heat bearing cone (7) and install the bearing on shaft (2). Make sure the bearing cone is tight against the shoulder.b) Install the shaft in the body.c) Install the head and gasket (8) on the body. Tighten the head bolts.d) Put tooling (A) in position to measure end play of shaft.e) Pull on the shaft and turn the shaft in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction 40° to put the bearings against their seats.f) Turn the indicator to zero while the shaft is turned.g) Push on the shaft. Turn the shaft in clockwise and counterclockwise directions 40°. Be sure that the indicator is at the same place on the shaft as it was in Step f. If shaft end play is .002 to .013 in. (0.05 to 0.33 mm) go to Step 1. If the end play is less than .002 in. (0.05 mm) do Steps h through m.h) Remove the head and install a .010 in. (0.25 mm) shim between the head and the body. Tighten the head bolts.i) Pull on the shaft and turn it in clockwise and counterclockwise directions 40°. Turn the indicator to zero.j) Push on the shaft and turn it in clockwise and counterclockwise directions 40°.k) Read the indicator while the shaft is turned. Be sure the indicator is at the
