If the machine is articulated, the tire sidewalls may be forced against the back slope, causing tire sidewall damage and also forcing dirt between the tire and rim, causing air loss and flat tires.
Personal injury could result from the sudden movement of the blade when the centershift lockpin is released.Before you release the centershift lockpin, make sure that all personnel are clear of the blade. Also, make sure that the circle and the blade are centered under the machine. Position the frame straight and lower the blade to the ground.
Position the link bar so that the centershift lock pin is located at the center hole. Move the switch for the centershift lock to the ENGAGED position.

Set the right end of the blade behind the right front tire.

Lower the right end of the blade in order to set the blade to the depth of the ditch.

Set the left end of the blade in order to deliver the material onto the slope between the tandem wheels.
Lean the front wheels slightly to the left.
Another pass is required in order to move the material up the slope and onto the shoulder. Spread the material and finish the final grade.
