Problem
On certain D400 and D35 HP Articulated Dump Trucks there have been failures of the pinion bearings, drive dogs and the thrust washers in the interaxle differential. A permanent solution to this problem is being researched. As an interim fix and to avoid substantial consequential damage, a new one-piece shaft needs to be installed.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Attach. (1-Rework Procedure) Rework Procedure 1. Operate the truck with the differential in the unlocked mode to release any driveline windup. 2. Articulate the truck completely to the right. 3. Stop the engine and completely lower the front suspension using the manual override lever. Apply the parking brake. 4. To ensure that all driveline windup has been released, block the rear wheels and raise the truck so that one front wheel is off the ground. Release the parking brake and then reapply the parking brake. 5. Remove the
