1. Remove plug (1) from the equalizer bar. 2. Use a curved blade utility knife as shown and cut the rubber part of the equalizer bar seal all around the outer ring and the inner ring. Remove rubber part (2) of the equalizer bar seal. 3. Use a punch and a hammer as shown and push outer ring (3) down and toward the outside of the equalizer bar. The punch must be held at an angle to push the outer ring toward the outside of the equalizer bar. 4. Use a screwdriver as shown and remove outer ring (3).
Be extra careful not to cut through inner ring (4) with the chisel. This will cause damage to the sealing surface of the equalizer bar pin.
5. Use a chisel and hammer as shown and make a distortion of inner ring (4). 6. Use a pry bar as shown and remove inner ring (4).Install Equalizer Bar Seals
1. Inspect the bore of the equalizer bar and the outside diameter of the pin for surface damage. Make sure the sealing surfaces are clean and smooth.2. Put 9S3264 Pipe Sealant on the bore of the equalizer bar and the outside diameter of the equalizer bar pin. 3. Put new equalizer bar seal (1) in position on the equalizer bar pin and against the equalizer bar. 4. Use tool (A), a block of wood and a hammer and install equalizer bar seal (1) in the equalizer bar. 5. Make sure dimension (X) is .118 .020 in. (3.0 0.5 mm). 6. Put 5.07 .3381 oz. (0.15 0.01 liter) of MPL SAE 90 GL-5 (MIL-L-2105B) oil in each end of the equalizer bar. Push in on the rubber part of the equalizer bar seal as shown to remove the air from the end of the equalizer bar. 7. Put 9S3264 Pipe Sealant on the plug and install plug (2).end by:a) install track roller frames
