Thoroughly inspect the entire BH mounting bracket for any signs of wear or damage. Inspect upper angled plate (1) and ensure that the plate is not bent or otherwise damaged. Particular attention should be given to the lower areas on the mounting bracket. Inspect holes (2) for wear and for damage. Inspect lower angled plate (3) and ensure that the plate is not bent or otherwise damaged.For information on repairing the frame assembly, refer to Special Instruction, REHS3577, "Repair Procedure for Frame Assembly on Skid Steer Loader Backhoe". Consult your Caterpillar dealer if any wear is suspected or any damage is suspected.
Improper attachment of work tools could result in injury or death.Excessive wear to the mounting bracket or damage to the mounting bracket could result in the coupler pins not fully engaging.Do not operate this machine until you have positive indication that the coupler pins are fully engaged. Check for engagement by:
Position the work tool on the ground.
Apply slight down pressure on the work tool.
Retract and extend the stick cylinder in order to push the work tool against the ground. Visually confirm that there is no movement between the coupler and the work tool.
