Place plates (28) in the proper locations according to Illustration 5

Weld Plates (28) to the stick. Weld only along the short sides of the plates. Tack weld plates on the stick. The dimensions are a recommendation.
Apply paint to the welded plates.
After the welding has been completed, start the host machine and lift the coupler off the ground.
Route hose assemblies (7) upward in order for the hoses to follow the contour of the nose of the stick. Refer to illustration 5.
Install red band (1) on hose"C1" (7) .
Install yellow band (2) on hose"C2" (7) .Note: See illustration 5.
Secure hose assembly (7) with plate (4) , clamp (3) and bolt (19). Refer to illustration 5.Note: Do not tighten clamp (3) until all of the modifications have been checked and completed.
Inspect the routing of hose assemblies (7) with the coupler in the curled position.Note: The hose assemblies should be close to the stick. Make sure that the hoses will not get trapped in the linkage during operation.
Tighten Bolt (19) to a torque value of 33 8 N m (25 6 lb ft) in order to secure the hose assemblies to the stick.
Attach hose assembly (7) to hose assembly (6) with a permanent coupler (17) and a union (18) .Note: The hoses (6) should be routed loosely in order to determine the hose length. The hoses will need to be removed from the host machine in order to cut the hoses to the proper length.
Install red band (1) on hose "C1" (6) .
Install yellow band (2) on hose "C2" (6) .Note: See Illustration 5.
Temporarily route the hose assemblies (6) along the boom. Follow the existing hydraulic lines.

Valve Assembly (A) Connect to chassis wiring harness
Mark hose assemblies (6) in order to cut to length.
Install red band (1) on hose assembly "C1" (6) .
Install yellow band (2) on hose assembly "C2" (6) .
Cut hose assemblies (6) at the marks.
Crimp permanent couplings (17) onto hose assemblies (6).
Attach hose assembly (6) to Port "C1" of valve assembly (9) with elbow assembly (16) and band (1).
Crimp permanent coupling (17) onto hose assembly (6).
Attach hose assembly "C1" (6) to Port "C1" of valve assembly (9) with elbow assembly (16). Note: The hose assembly "C1" is located on the operator side of the machine.
Attach hose assembly "C2" (6) to Port "C2" of valve assembly (9) with elbow assembly (16).
Attach hose assembly (10) to Port "T" of valve assembly (9) with connector (14 ) .
Attach the other end of hose assembly (10) to the top of the hydraulic tank with O-ring seal (21) and swivel tee (25).
Install hose assembly (12) to Port "P" of valve assembly (9) with connector (14) .
Route hose assembly (12) from the valve to the boom.
Crimp permanent coupling (17) onto hose assembly (12) .
Attach the opposite end of the hose assembly (12) to the elbow (15). The elbow is inserted into the bucket curl circuit. Refer to illustrations 6 for M318D and M322D machines. Refer to
