Adding an Authorized Operator
The "Add" push button at the bottom-left of the "Security Management" screen allows you to add a key or passcode to the list of authorized operators.Note: Adding keys requires a key with the master access level or a factory password.Note: When a function requires a factory password, the "Enter Factory Passwords" box is displayed.To add a key, perform the following steps:
Turn the machine key switch to the ON position.
Connect to the machine using a master Bluetooth key fob, mobile application ID, or passcode.Note: If a master key is not used, then a factory password is required.
Connect a laptop computer with the Cat ET Service Tool to the ECM on the machine.
Select the machine ECM that contains the MSS library.

Select the "Security Management" option under the Service Menu in Cat ET.

Add Security Information dialog box
Press the "Add" button. The "Add Security Information" dialog box is displayed. Refer to Illustration 3.

Key type selection
Select the key type from the drop-down list. There are two key type options: "Passcode" or "Bluetooth Key".

Access level selection
Select the access level of the key from the "Access Level" menu. There are two access level options: "Standard" or "Master".
Refer to the following steps when completing the password field:
Enter the MAC identification number (ID) of the Bluetooth key into the password field. This ID is on the back of the key fob.
If the mobile application is being used, use the MDID of the mobile application. This address is listed on the "Profile" screen.
If a "Passcode" key type is being created, enter the desired passcode.
Enter the name for the key in the "Description" box. The description may have up to 11 characters. If no description is entered, the description will default to"Sec#". The # sign indicates a number. For example, "Sec1", "Sec2", or "Sec3".Note: Duplicate names for the keys in the list of keys is not advisable.
Press the "OK" button to add the information for the key. The confirmation dialog box will display. Press "OK" to add the key. Press "Cancel" to exit the "Add Key Information" dialog box without adding the information. Press "Help" to open on-line help for assistance.Changing Authorized Operator Information
The "Change" push button allows you to change the "Description" , "Access Level", expiration date/time of a key/mobile app.Note: The "Change" push button is disabled until a key is selected from the authorized list.Perform these steps to change the key information:
Highlight the key/passcode that you want to change. Press the "Change" push button. The "Change Key Information" dialog box is displayed.ORDouble-click the key/passcode you want to change. The "Change Key Information" dialog box is displayed.
Enter the changes and confirm when prompted.Deleting an Authorized Operator
Note: You cannot delete the last master security ID. An error message will display if you attempt to delete the last master access level security ID.Refer to the following steps when deleting a key:
