Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Note: Put identification marks on all electrical wires for installation purposes.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assembly (1) from alternator (2) .

Remove bolt (3) .

Loosen bolt (5) and remove belts (6) .
Remove bolt (5), bracket (4), and alternator (2) from the machine.Installation Procedure

Install alternator (2), bracket (4), and bolt (5) .
Install belts (6) on alternator (2) .
Install bolt (3) .

Connect harness assembly (2) on alternator (1) .
Adjust the belt tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for the correct procedure.
