The Cat ID can track distance traveled, fuel used, PTO fuel used, and idle fuel used in each state for up to 50 U.S. states or Canadian provinces. Before the data can be collected, enter the state the vehicle is operating in by using the display. This information is reset with the Fleet Trip Segment. The state selection should be made when the vehicle is not moving.Available States: All 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and 12 Canadian provinces are available.Accessing State Crossings
ECM Customer Programmable parameters determine the access to this function of the dash display. If the state information is programmed OFF in the ECM, the entire state crossing column will not be shown. Therefore, pressing the right arrow key from the DRIVER ENTRY title screen, or left from the INSTANTANEOUS DATA title screen, will skip over the STATE CROSSING title screen.After programming the parameters in the ECM, power must be turned OFF and then back ON for the display to recognize the change.Selecting a State
The STATE CROSSING title screen displays the currently selected state where the CURRENT STATE text is indicated in the illustration.
Selecting a StateTo enter a new state, press the Down arrow key to show more states. The display will first alphabetically list all adjacent states to the current state. The list can be scrolled through using the Up and Down arrow keys. To select a state not adjacent to the current state, continue scrolling down through the adjacent state list, and eventually the list starts over with a full alphabetical listing of all available states and provinces. When the desired state is displayed, press the Left arrow key. The display will again show the selected state. Press the Left arrow key to enter the displayed state as the current state, any other key to return to select a different state.
