This special instruction provides the procedure for installing the 155-6432 Snubber Kit on D7H and D7H Series II machines. The procedure requires a modification to one plate assembly and removal and installation of the rollover protective structure (ROPS). Welding is required in order to attach the snubber kit to the cab roof and to the ROPS.
Vibrations that result from high bending and impact loads can cause damage to the cab structure. The snubber creates a link between the stable ROPS and the cab. The snubber uses a mount that is made of rubber in order to dampen the vibrations. The reduction of vibrations of the cab can increase the service life of the cab structure.
This special instruction also includes directions for installing eight 125-7720 Mount Assemblies. The mounts are part of the cab platform group. The 125-7720 Mount Assemblies are a direct replacement for the existing 7T-1819 Mountings. The new mounts are made of a softer butyl rubber than the former mounts. The new mounts have higher dampening capability.
The rubber mounts are not included with the 155-6432 Snubber Kit.This special instruction is available through normal literature channels.
