MANIFOLD 2497085 - Caterpillar

1. Lift the side of the machine with two 50 ton screw jacks. 2. Lower track rollers (2) and (3) on each side of the minor bogie pin that is to be removed as shown. See REMOVE TRACK ROLLERS.3. Remove retainer (1). 4. Remove stopper (4) from each side of the minor bogie pin. 5. Put the 5P7274 Nut on the opposite side of the minor bogie pin. Install the 5P7273 Stud through the pin and into the nut. Install the remainder of tooling (A) as shown and remove minor bogie pin (5).Install Minor Bogie Pin Assembly (In Chassis)
1. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the pin assembly. Use two persons and make an alignment of the minor bogie and major bogie bores. Slide the minor bogie pin assembly into the minor bogie.
The pin assemblies have an "X" on the front of the pin assemblies. This is the large end of the pin. The end of the pin with a mark "X" must go toward the outside of the roller frame. The "X" must be in a vertical position when installed.
2. Use all of tooling (A) except the 5P9692 Spacer and 1P1844 Adapter and install the pin assembly in part way. Install the 5P9692 Spacer against the frame and put 1P1844 Adapter against the pin. Push the pin assembly in place with tooling (A). The 5P9692 Spacer will install the pin assembly to the correct dimension. 3. Install retainer (1) on the major bogie. 4. Install track rollers (2) and (3) in their original positions. See INSTALL TRACK ROLLERS.
