Note: Step 13 and Step 14 need to be completed for both sides of the machine.
Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) .

Remove shaft (3) .Note: The thread in shaft (3) is M16 X 2 - 6H.

(E3) Cat ET port
Rotate screw (5) in order to open access panel (4) .
Connect the communication adapter to Cat ET port (E3) .

Use ET in order to perform the "Pump and Motor Maximum Displacement Test". Select Diagnostics from the main menu. Then, select "Diagnostic Tests" from the drop-down menu. Select the "Pump and Motor Maximum Displacement Test" from the selection menu. Follow the instructions that are provided.
Start the engine. Warm the hydraulic oil to 55° 10°C (131° 18°F).
Operate the engine at LOW IDLE.
Depress the brake pedal.
Release the parking brake.Note: The ECM must detect the following conditions before starting the test procedure:
The transmission control lever must be in the NEUTRAL position.
The engine must be running.
There are No Active Diagnostics.
The parking brake switch must be released.Note: If any of these conditions are not met during the procedure, the procedure is aborted immediately.
Slowly release the brake pedal.
Increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Record the engine speed into Table 3 of the "Data Sheet".
Move the transmission control lever to the FORWARD position.
Record the engine speed, the right motor speed, and the left motor speed into Table 3 of the "Data Sheet".
Return the transmission control lever to the NEUTRAL position.
Decrease the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Move all of the controls in order to relieve any pressure within the hydraulic system.
Use Table 2 for calculating the motor speed. If a track runs too fast, the motor for the track is not operating at maximum displacement. The motor controller should be checked in order to make sure that the motor controller is operating properly. If a track runs too slowly, the pump for the track is not reaching maximum displacement. The pump controller should be checked in order to make sure that the pump controller is operating properly.Note: Normal motor speed should be 1047 62.5 rpm when the engine is at HIGH IDLE.
