Type the serial number or prefix of your machine in field (1) .
Type "software" in the "Parts Seach:" field (2). This will search for the part number of the software file for your machine.
Select "Flash Software Files" (3) .

Type the ".iqa" into the "Flash Filename" window (5). Select "Search" (6). This will list all of the ".iqa" files.
Place the cursor over the appropriate file number.
Press and hold down the right mouse button. A menu will appear. Move the cursor to the "Sav Link As" selection (4). Release the right mouse button.
The "Save as" menu will appear. Save the file onto your PC.
Use the following procedure to download the flash files from CD or DVD based SIS.
Insert the Flash Files CD or DVD into the CD or DVD drive for your computer.
View the contents of the drive that is on your CD or DVD drive. Select the "Readxref.txt" file in order to view a complete listing of all flash documents that can be used to identify the proper flash file for your application.
Save the file to your PC.

Connect the serial cable between your PC and the IQAN system connection on your machine.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position in order to activate the IQAN system on your machine.

Select "Update IQAN" (8) from the "System" menu (7). The "Update" window consists of four tabs.

All of the tabs must be filled in order for the update to be complete. The "Open" tab (9) is displayed first. Retrieve the application file (.iqa file) that was downloaded and saved to your PC by clicking on the "Browse" button (11). Otherwise, you can enter the path and the name of the file in the "Filename" field (10). Then, select "Continue" (12). The following window will appear.

The "File info" window shows the application id, the version, a description of the application and the manufacturer ID. A description of the change is displayed when you update the software to a newer version. Ensure that you have selected the correct file. Then click "OK" (17). The following window will appear.

A message will appear under the "Finish" tab (19) when the transfer is completed. Click "OK" button (20) in order to finish the update. Now, you must restart the IQAN. The IQAN system needs about 10 seconds in order to finish the reprogramming process.
