Open wire in the data link circuit.
The data link circuit is shorted to battery ground.
Caterpillar Monitoring System is not operating properly.System Response:Machine operation is not affected unless this is the first key ON after programming a blank ECM.Note: Ensure that CID 0270 FMI 09 is active and that the diagnostic code indicator displays "SERV CODE".Note: Ensure that CID 0248 FMI 12 is not active. If this code is active, correct this diagnostic code prior to beginning the test.Test Step 1. CHECK THE MAIN DISPLAY MODULE.
