Clean the blue-colored DEF tank filler cap (1) and the surrounding area.
Remove DEF tank filler cap (1).
Fill the tank with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). Reference film (2) to estimate how much fluid is required to fill the tank.Note: Do not fill the DEF tank from a contaminated container or funnel.Note: Do not over fill the tank. DEF can freeze and needs room for expansion.Note: When filling the diesel exhaust fluid tank with the engine start switch in the on position, the machine horn will sound twice when the diesel exhaust fluid tank is full.
Install the DEF tank filler cap (1).Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for more information on diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) guidelines.
