The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known use the solution that is identified below.Problem
When connecting to an engine ECM with Cat® ET the new engine parameters may show “Unavailable”. If a different status screen is selected, Cat ET will show the parameters only for a short time before showing (Unavailable) again. The Comm Adapter Firmware is having an issue and is not indicating a problem with the engine ECM and the software.Solution
Caterpillar is recommending to upgrade the software to ET 2015B or later and ensure the machine ecm is flashed with the latest machine software. In some cases this resolves the issue. If the issue continues this will be resolved with a firmware Comm Adapter update which is not available yet.
