The Temperature of the Oil Is Too High
Follow this procedure if the oil gauge consistently operates in the warning region (red indicator). Also, follow this procedure if the light for the oil temperature comes on.
Check the operation of the machine.
Determine if the machine has been operating at stall condition or near stall condition. Expected Results
The machine has been operating at stall condition.Results
NO: Proceed to Step 2.
YES: The operating conditions are a probable cause of the symptom. Inform the operator of the cause of the problem.
Check the temperature gauge.
Inspect the temperature gauge for proper operation.
Repair the components and/or replace the components, if necessary.
Check the operation of the machine for the original problem. Expected Results
The original problem is resolved.Results
OK: Stop.
NOT OK: Proceed to Step 3.
Check the temperature sender.
Check the operation of the temperature sender.
Repair the components and/or replace the components, if necessary.

Check the cooling system.
Check for restrictions in the oil cooler lines.
