MANIFOLD-EXHAUST 3409726 - Caterpillar

1. Remove nut (1) from the heater switch. Remove screws (2) and remove plate (3) from the heater switch. 2. Remove knob (6) from the heater control valve rod.3. Remove all the bolts to remove shroud assembly (4) and sheet (5). 4. Disconnect wire (7) from the heater switch.5. Remove bracket (10) and disconnect two heater hoses (12) from cab heater (9). Remove the two bolts from plate assembly (8) and remove plate assembly (8), plate (11) and cab heater (9) as a unit from the cab.Install Cab Heater
1. Put plate assembly (2), plate (5) and cab heater (3) as a unit in position in cab. Install the two bolts in plate assembly (2) to hold the unit in position.2. Connect two heater hoses (6) to the cab heater and install bracket (4).3. Connect wire (1) to the heater switch. 4. Install shroud assembly (8) and sheet (7) with the bolts to hold these.5. Install knob (9) on the heat control valve rod. 6. Put plate (11) in position on the heater switch and install nut (10) to hold these together. Install the screws to hold the plate and switch to the top of the shroud assembly.Disassemble Cab Heater
START BY:a) remove cab heater 1. Remove nuts (3) and bolts (5) to remove plate assembly (1) from plate (4) and the cab heater.2. Remove the cab heater from plate (4) and remove the screws to remove cover (2) from the cab heater shell. 3. Remove the screws and remove cab heater coil (6) from the cab heater shell. 4. Disconnect the wires from heater switch (7).5. Remove four screws (9) and remove motor assembly (8), fan assembly (10) and bracket (11) as a unit from the cab heater shell.6. Remove fan assembly (10) and bracket (11) from motor assembly (8).Assemble Cab Heater
1. Install bracket (2) and fan assembly (3) on motor assembly (1).2. Put motor assembly (1), fan assembly (3) and bracket (2) as a unit in position in the cab heater shell. Install four screws (5) to hold the unit in position.3. Connect the wires to heater switch (4). 4. Install cab heater coil (6) with the screws to hold it in the cab heater shell. 5. Install cover (8) with the screws to hold it to the cab heater shell and put the cab heater in position on plate (10).6. Install plate assembly (7) with nuts (9) and bolts (11) to hold it to the cab heater and plate (10).END BY:a) install cab heater
