Rework Procedure
This publication can be applied Before or After Failure and has two Rework Procedures depending on how it is being applied.
Before Failure adds a section of hose over the speed sensor pigtail to protect the wires during operation.
After Failure also adds the hose over the pigtail, but may also require the installation of a new speed sensor (if sensor has failed or pigtail wires are damaged), or the 419-2222 Harness Assembly running down the lift arms if the old style 2 wire is damaged, it may also need to be changed to 419-2222 Rev 02 (4 wire coaxial cable).
Before Failure Rework Procedure:
Parts Required:
5P-0765 Hose (20CM)
3S-2093 Cable Straps (Qty 2)
1. Remove the saw motor cover.
2. Disconnect the pigtail harness on the 4P-5820 Speed Sensor from machine speed sensor harness.
3. Install a new 5P-0765 Hose (20CM) over the speed sensor harness pigtail until it fits over the end of the speed sensor and far enough so connector is slightly protruding out of the hose. Refer to Images1.2.1 and 1.2.2.

Image1.2.2
4. Secure the 5P-0765 Hose to the speed sensor with one new 3S-2093 Cable Strap. Refer back to Image1.2.1.
5. Route the pigtail/hose and secure to the link on the ledge with one new 3S-2093 Cable Strap.
6. Reconnect the 419-2222 Harness to the pigtail harness.
7. Run the machine to test and ensure that the speed sensor is functioning properly.
8. Reinstall the saw motor cover.
After Failure Rework Procedure:
Parts Required:
5P-0765 Hose (20CM)
3S-2093 Cable Straps (Qty 2)
4P-5820 Speed Sensor (if required)
419-2222 Coaxial Harness (if required)
1. Remove the saw motor cover.
2. Disconnect the existing pigtail harness on 4P-5820 Speed Sensor from machine speed sensor harness.
3. Determine if the speed sensor is not functional and if the pigtail harness is damaged.
4. If speed sensor is required, install new speed sensor.
5. Install a new 5P-0765 Hose (20CM) over the speed sensor harness pigtail until it fits over the end of the speed sensor and far enough so that the connector is slightly protruding out of the hose. Refer to Images1.4.1 and 1.4.2.

7. Route the pigtail/hose and secure to the link on the ledge with one new 3S-2093 Cable Strap. Refer back to Image1.4.2.
8. Determine if the new version of 419-2222 Speed Sensor Harness is installed. This will be a coaxial cable with 4 wires.
9. If required, install a new 419-2222 Speed Sensor Harness by taping it to the old harness, allowing you to quickly pull it through the hose on the lift arm.
10. Reconnect the 419-2222 Speed Sensor Harness to the pigtail harness on the 4P-5820 Speed Sensor.
