The new software contains the following improvement for the 351-8490 Electronic Control Module (PL522) system:
This update addresses erroneous fuel loss alerts by eliminating the large delta between fuel level data sent by Product Link during a Key OFF and Key ON event. Now Product Link sends a more accurate fuel level value during a Key ON and Key OFF event.Note: It is important that both the radio and the gateway software are flashed. Submit a field support case to have the Radio flashed over the air after the Gateway software has been downloaded and installed.The new software part number is listed in Table 1.

(B) Make sure that the PC drivers and CA3 firmware have been updated before using Communications Adapter 3 (CA3).Note: CA3 news, drivers, and firmware are available at "https://dealer.cat.com". (C) Use the latest version of Caterpillar Electronic Technician for the optimal machine software support and use "WinFlash" to flash the new software onto the Module.
