Follow this procedure if the oil gauge consistently operates in the warning region (red indicator). Also, follow this procedure if the light for the oil temperature comes on.

Determine if the machine has been operating at stall condition or near stall condition.Expected Results
The machine has been operating at stall condition.Results
NO: Proceed to Step 2.
YES: The operating conditions are a probable cause of the symptom. Inform the operator of the cause of the problem.
Check the temperature gauge.
Inspect the temperature gauge for proper operation.
Repair the components and/or replace the components, if necessary.
Check the operation of the machine for the original problem.Expected Results
The original problem is resolved.Results
OKAY: Stop.
NOT OKAY: Proceed to Step 3.
Check the temperature sender.
Check the operation of the temperature sender.
Repair the components and/or replace the components, if necessary.
Check the operation of the machine for the original problem.Expected Results

NOT OKAY: Change the oil. Change the oil filter elements and clean the screens. Check the operation of the machine for the original problem. If the conditions are not resolved, proceed to Step 6.
Adjust the pressure of the Torque Converter Inlet Relief Valve.Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Torque Converter Inlet) Pressure - Test and Adjust" that is in this module.
Expected Results
The pressure is 900 kPa (130 psi).
The original problem is resolved.Results
OKAY: Stop.
NOT OKAY: Proceed to Step 7.
Check the system pressure.Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Main Relief Valve - Adjust" that is in this module.

The system pressure is correct.
