Illustration 1. Components of a folded core radiator.Folded core radiators are designed to be self cleaning. In most applications, the trash will roll, in the direction of fan air flow, along the core face to the trash gap where it is expelled.
Adaptable As: The folded core radiators are in effect as shown in Chart 1. Chart 2 gives the part numbers of the folded core radiator groups and core assemblies. The seals at the top and bottom of each core assembly must be replaced each time the core is removed. One 8N7139 Seal is used for one end of each core assembly and one 8N5130 Seal is used for the other end of each core assembly except where noted in Chart 2. Lubricate the sealing areas of the seals with liquid soap at assembly.
