953, 963, 973 LoadersThere have been reports that the platform tilt jacks on the above machines may not raise the platform because of air in the jack.
Use the steps that follow to purge air from the platform tilt jacks.
1. With the jack setting upright, open the release screw by turning it counterclockwise.2. Push the ram all the way down to retract the jack.3. Pump the handle several times with the ram held down to purge air from the jack.4. After the air is purged, close the release screw.If Steps 1 through 4 do not solve the problem of the jack not raising the platform, there may be air under the ram. To purge air from under the ram, use the steps that follow.
1. Remove the jack from the machine. Turn the jack upside down with the ram fully extended.2. Open the release screw and push the ram fully into the jack. Place the jack in the upright position.3. Hold the ram down and pump the handle several times. Close the release screw after all air is purged.
