Remove two air conditioner valve caps (1) from the air conditioning compressor.

Install Tooling (A) in order to recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heating, SENR5664, "Refrigerant System - Evacuate".

Attach a suitable lifting device to cover assembly (2). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist.
Remove 16 bolts (3) and the washers. Remove cover assembly (2). The weight of the cover assembly is 63 kg (140 lb).

Remove 18 bolts (5) and the washers in order to remove cover assembly (4). Remove the cover assembly.

Remove four bolts (6) and the washers in order to remove plate assembly (7). Remove the plate assembly.

Disconnect the hose assembly and the tube assembly from flared fitting (8) .
Disconnect the hose assembly and the tube assembly from flared fitting (9) .

Remove two bolts (11) and the washers that fasten heater coil (10) to the case assembly.

Disconnect tube assembly (12) from heater coil (10) .

Remove nut (14) and the washer that fastens heater coil (10) to the case assembly.
Remove bolt (13) and the washer that fastens heater coil (10) to the case assembly.

Position capillary tube (15) for the removal of heater coil (10). Remove heater coil (10) .

Disconnect tube assembly (16) and tube assembly (17) from evaporator coil (18) .

Remove two bolts (19) and the washers that fasten evaporator coil (18) to the case assembly.

Loosen two speed nuts (21) in order to remove cover assembly (20) and the two filter assemblies.

Remove two bolts (22) in order to remove evaporator coil (18). Remove the evaporator coil.
