The harness of all-wheel drive system may fail on machines listed above. This may result in loss of all-wheel drive system functioning. Majority of failures have been reported between 500 hours and 2500 hours.Solution
Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an interim repair has not been defined. In case of failure, replace the failed harness with same part number. Refer to below instructions for the rework procedure.

Remove the clip (B) by removing the bolt and the washer securing the clip.

Orient the harness (A) towards the front wheel as shown in Illustration 2.Note: Do not install the clip after orienting the harness (A).
