Remove the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install" .
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove idler gear (1) from the engine oil pump.

Use Tool (A) to remove bearing (2) from the idler gear.

Remove bolt (3) from the drive gear.

Use Tool (B) and a hydraulic press to remove the drive gear from the shaft.

Remove three bolts (4) and the washers. Remove cover assembly (5) .

Remove bearings (6) . Remove O-ring seal (7) from cover assembly (5) .

Remove the two shaft assemblies (8) and (9) from the body of engine oil pump (10) .

Remove bolt (11) and pressure relief valve (12) from the body of engine oil pump (10) .
Use tool (A) to remove the two bearings (13) . Remove one shaft assembly (14) from the body of the engine oil pump (10) .
