Oscillating HitchThe Transmission ECM controls the primary steering system. Using inputs from the operator and inputs from sensors, hydraulic oil is drawn from hydraulic oil tank (4), into steering and hoist pump (3). Pressurized oil is sent to combination valve (7) and out to metering pump (2). Rotation of steering wheel (1), shifts a spool within metering pump (2) and directs pressurized oil to one of two steering cylinders (10). Depending on the position of steering wheel (1), the machine will articulate left or right.When the signal from pressure sensor (8) indicates a loss of primary steering pressure, the transmission ECM automatically activates secondary steering pump motor (6) to drive secondary steering pump (5).
