Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (2) and remove breather tube (4) from valve mechanism cover (1).
Remove O-ring seal (3) and seal (5) from breather tube (4). Disassembly Procedure
Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.

Remove plastic cover (6) from valve mechanism cover (1).
Remove screws (7). Remove plate (8).
Remove assembly of diaphragm (9) and the cap (10). Remove spring (11). Assembly Procedure

Ensure that all components of the crankcase breather are clean and free from damage. Replace any components that are damaged.
Install spring (11). Install assembly of diaphragm (10) and cap (9).
Position plate (8) on valve mechanism cover (1) and install screws (7).
Use Tooling (A) to tighten screws (7) to a torque of 1.3 N m (12 lb in).
Install plastic cover (6) to valve mechanism cover (1). Installation Procedure

Install new O-ring seals (3) and (5) to breather tube (4).
Install breather tube (4) to valve mechanism cover (1). Install bolts (2) and tighten the bolt to a torque of 9 N m (80 lb in).
