Transmission PTO Control Selection
The transmission PTO feature controls the PTO enable output driver at J2-2 and at J2-6. The PTO enable driver is used to control an OEM supplied control system that is connected to the transmission's auxiliary output shaft. This output is capable of driving 2 Amps and will be turned ON when all of the programmed conditions have been met.This function requires a SWC input, an Output Driver, and a set of programmable parameters that are controlled by the service tool. The PTO Control function reads an operator PTO switch input in order to direct it to turn on the PTO driver. Each system has specific operational conditions that must be met. The operational conditions are set by accessing the programmable parameters with the service tool. The following items are available for tailoring the PTO operation for a specific vehicle:PTO Maximum Gear The PTO will not operate above the programmed maximum gear. The PTO will not turn on above the programmed maximum gear and will turn off if the actual gear goes above the programmed maximum gear.PTO Minimum Gear The PTO will not operate below the programmed minimum gear. The PTO will not turn on below the programmed minimum gear and will turn off if the actual gear goes below the programmed minimum gear.PTO Maximum Engine SpeedThe PTO will not operate above the programmed minimum engine speed. The PTO will turn on when the engine speed reaches the programmed maximum engine speed -50 rpm and will turn off if the engine speed goes above the programmed minimum engine speed.PTO Minimum Engine Speed The PTO will not operate below the programmed minimum engine speed. The PTO will turn on when the engine speed reaches the programmed minimum engine speed +50 rpm and will turn off if the engine speed goes below the programmed minimum engine speed.PTO Maximum Transmission Output Speed - The PTO will not operate above the programmed maximum transmission output speed. The PTO will turn on when the transmission output speed reached the programmed maximum transmission output speed -50 rpm and will turn off if the transmission output speed goes above the programmed maximum transmission output speed.PTO Minimum Transmission Output Speed The PTO will not operate below the programmed minimum transmission output speed. The PTO will turn on when the transmission output speed reached the programmed minimum transmission output speed +50 rpm and will turn off if the transmission output speed goes below the programmed minimum transmission output speed.PTO Reverse Enable The transmission will allow the PTO to operate when the transmission is in reverse if the parameter is set to enabled.
