(1) The 6V-9448 Cylinder Pack Puller is an optional Tool for 137 mm (5.4 inch) and 140 mm (5.5 inch) bore diameters.Start By:
Remove the pistons and connecting rods.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove cylinder liner (1) with Tooling (A). Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Check the cylinder liner projection. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Cylinder Liner Projection - Inspect".

Install liner seals (3) in the respective grooves.
Apply Tooling (C) on the cylinder block liner bore surfaces and liner seals (3).
Dip filler band (2) in clean engine oil for a moment. Install filler band (2) and install cylinder liner (1) immediately.

Use Tooling (B) to install cylinder liner (1) in the cylinder block. Ensure that any marks in relation to the cylinder liner projection are in alignment. Note: Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS9564 for more information about cylinder liner installation.End By:
