Repeat the trial fit-up and check alignment. Remove grease box (14) .

Install O-Ring seal (6), and O-Ring seal (2) to connector (15) and install connector (15) to grease box (14) .

Apply a thick bead of RTV around the grease-purge passages in the housing adapter to seal the grease box to housing adapter.

Install grease box (14) and line-up the mounting Holes. Install two bolts (18) and two washers (19) in the center. Install two bolts (16) and two hard washers (24) in the flange of grease box (14). Check the RTV is compressed & seal is adequate. Tighten bolts (18) to 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft) and bolts (16) to 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).Ensure that the RTV is compressed and seal is adequate.
Prepare the adapter group for painting by masking off the yoke and drive hub, across the gap between the yoke guard and retainer, and between the drive hub and retainer. Tape over any exposed threaded holes on the adapter group. Protect connector (15) installed in Step 7.
Paint the adapter group.
Secure screens by tightening bolts to 12 3 N m (8.85 2.21 lb ft).

Install adapter (7) into breather assembly (8) and tighten.
Install O-Ring seal (6) onto adapter (7).
Install bulkhead adapter (5) onto adapter (7) and tighten. Install O-Ring seal (2) onto end of bulkhead adapter (5) .

Install bulkhead adapter (5) and breather assembly (8) to bracket (4) using nut (3) .

Loosely attach one end of hose assembly (1) to connector (15) at grease box (14) and attach the other end of hose assembly (1) to breather assembly (8) .
Install bracket (4) and breather assembly (8) housing adapter at the top lifting lug location using two spacers (11), bolt (9) and washer (10). Temporarily tighten bolt (9) hand-tight.

Route hose assembly (1) along the housing adapter. Install three clips (20) on hose assembly (1). Secure clips (20) to housing adapter using three spacers (21), three bolts (22), and three washers (19). Tighten hose assembly (1). Tighten bolts (22) to 12 3 N m (8.85 2.21 lb ft).
Apply temperature indicator (23) next to each other on the outside of the housing adapter at the ball bearing location at 4,
