Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install poppet (23), spring (28), retainer (29), sleeve (24), ring (25), slug (26), and shims (27) in spool assembly (22) .

Install spring (21) and spool assembly (22) in housing assembly (11) .

Install the O-ring seal, cover (18), spring (19), and spool (20) in housing assembly (11) .

Install switch assembly (17) .

Install spacers (14), spring (13), and valve (15) on stem (16). Install ring (12), and stem (16) in housing assembly (11) .

Install plugs (10) and (9), as shown. Tighten plug (9) to a torque of 47.5 N m 6.8 N m (35.00 lb ft 5.00 lb ft).

Install O-ring seals (8), (7), and (6) on cover assembly (2) .

Install the O-ring seal in retainer (4), element assembly (3), and retainer (4) on cover assembly (2) .
Install nut (5). Tighten nut (5) to a torque of 13.6 N m 2.7 N m (10.00 lb ft 2.00 lb ft).

Install cover assembly (2) in the housing assembly. Install the bolts that hold cover assembly (2) in place. Install harness assembly (1) .End By: Install the power train oil filter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Filter and Base (Power Train) - Install".
