Remove the service meter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service Meter - Remove and Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
Remove the magneto. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Magneto - Remove and Install" for the engine that is being serviced.

Remove nuts (1), the washers, cover (2), and the gasket from the front housing.

Remove bolt (3) and the washer.

Place Tooling (A) in position on drive gear (4).
Use Tooling (A) in order to loosen drive gear (4) from the sleeve of the magneto drive. Remove Tooling (A).

Disconnect oil supply tube assembly (7) from magneto drive (6).
Remove nuts (5) and the washers that hold magneto drive (6) in place. Remove magneto drive (6). Installation Procedure

Place magneto drive (6) in position on the front housing.

Install nuts (5) and the washers.
Connect oil supply tube assembly (7) to the magneto drive.

Install bolt (3) and the washer. Tighten bolt (3) to a torque of 149 7 N m (110 5 lb ft).

Install the gasket and cover (2) on the front housing. Tighten the nuts (1) that hold cover (2) in place to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft). End By:
Install the magneto. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Magneto - Remove and Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
Install the service meter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service Meter - Remove and Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
