5. Disconnect two fuel line fittings (14) from the bracket. Plug the fittings to prevent the loss of fuel and keep contamination out of the fuel system. Typical Example7. Position a strap around attachment and equipment pump (18) as shown and secure to a suitable lifting device. Remove two nuts and washers (19) and slide attachment and equipment pump (18) out of the torque converter. Remove attachment and equipment pump (18) with the tube assemblies as a unit from the torque converter. The weight of attachment and equipment pump (18) is 95 kg (210 lb).
Typical Example8. Position Tooling (C) on the transmission and the transfer case as shown and secure to a suitable lifting device.

Typical Example11. Install three of bolts (20) in torque converter flange as shown and tighten evenly until separation of the torque converter and the engine occurs.

Typical Example14. Install two guide bolts 7/16 -14 × 2 (21) to the engine as shown. Check ring seal (22) and O-ring seal (23) on the torque converter for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Lubricate seals (22) and (23) with lubricant being sealed.
