Information:
Keep the machine under control at all times. Do not shift the transmission to neutral to allow the machine to coast.Select the gear range speed necessary before starting downgrade. Do not change gear speeds while going downhill.A good practice is to use the same gear speed going downgrade that would be used to go up the grade.Do not allow the engine to overspeed downhill. Use the brake pedal to reduce engine overspeed going downhill. When the load will be pushing the machine, put the transmission selector lever in first speed before starting downhill. Do not disengage clutch or move the transmission selector lever while moving.
Raise all lowered implements enough to clear any obstructions before moving.Power Shift
1. Push both brake pedals DOWN before moving or to stop the machine. 2. Pull the parking brake lever UP to disengage and unlock. 3. Pull the transmission neutral lock lever UP to unlock. 4. Move the transmission direction and speed selector lever to the desired direction and speed. 5. Move the governor control lever to the desired engine speed. 6. Release the brake pedals to allow the machine to move. Push the brake pedals DOWN to slow or stop.Direct Drive
1. Push both brake pedals DOWN before moving or to stop the machine. 2. Pull the parking brake lever UP to disengage and unlock. 3. Push the flywheel clutch lever FORWARD to apply clutch brake. 4. Move the transmission speed selector lever to the desired speed. 5. Move the forward-neutral-reverse lever to the desired direction. 6. Move the governor control lever to the desired engine speed. 7. Release the brake pedals to allow the machine to move. Push the brake pedals DOWN to slow or stop. 8. Pull the flywheel clutch lever BACK to engage clutch and to allow the machine to move. If the machine is inoperable, and must be moved, refer to the "Towing" section.Changing Speed and Direction - Power Shift
Do not use brake pedals as foot rests to avoid early brake wear or damage.
Speed and directional changes at full engine speed are possible. However, for operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, decelerating and/or braking, when changing directions is recommended. 1. Push governor lever (1) IN, or push decelerator (2) DOWN to decrease engine speed. 2. Push both brake pedals DOWN to stop the machine. 3. Move the transmission lever to the desired speed or direction. 4. Release both brake pedals. 5. To increase the engine speed, release the decelerator pedal, or pull BACK on the governor control lever.Changing Speed and Direction - Direct Drive
Do not use brake pedals as foot rests to avoid early brake wear or damage. For operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, clutch braking when changing directions is recommended.
It is important that the machine is stopped before a transmission shift of any kind is made. When the machine is stopped with the engine idling and the transmission in NEUTRAL, engage the flywheel clutch brake. The flywheel clutch brake will stop the
