Remove the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, " Drive Shaft - Remove ".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (1). Use Tooling (B) in order to remove bearing (3) from the drive shaft (4). Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (2) .

Remove the plug and dowel (5). Remove race (6).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (7). Remove race (8), spacer (9), race (10), spacer (11), and seal ring (12) .

Remove seal (13) .

Remove O-ring seal (19) .
Remove plug (14), plug (18), and the dowels. Use a suitable press and Tooling (C) in order to remove bearing (14), spacer (15), and bearing (16) from cage (20). Discard plugs (17) and (18) .Note: Bearing (14), spacer (15), and bearing (16) will be removed as a unit from the cage.
