1. Disconnect the two wires at connectors (4).2. Remove nuts, washers, bolts (1), cover (2) and gasket that hold shutoff solenoid (3) in position.3. Remove solenoid (3), spring and plunger from the governor housing. 4. Put solenoid (3), spring, plunger and gasket in position on the governor housing. Make sure shaft (5) is engaged with the lever in the housing.5. Install gasket, cover (2), bolts (1), washers and nuts that hold solenoid (3) in position.6. Connect wires (6) at connectors (4).Disassemble And Assemble Fuel Shutoff Solenoid
start by:a) remove fuel shutoff solenoid 1. Remove plunger (2) and spring (1) from solenoid (6).2. Remove shaft (4) and nut (3) from plunger (2).3. Put identification on the wires for use at assembly and remove wires (5) from the solenoid. 4. Install the nut on shaft (4) and the shaft in plunger (2). Make an adjustment to the shaft until dimension (X) is 0.961 0.20 in. (24.4 5.1 mm). Dimension (X) is the distance between the face of plunger (2) and under the head of shaft (4).5. Install wires (5) respective to their location on the solenoid.6. Put spring (1) and plunger (2) in position in solenoid (6).
