When the suspension is lowered clearances between the machine frames and suspension components are reduced.Persons on or near the machine could be injured by crushing.Keep all personnel clear of the machine until the suspension has been lowered.
The front suspension must be fully lowered for shipping or servicing purposes.The ejector blade must be fully retracted before the suspension is lowered and before the suspension is set.Lowering the Suspension
Before lowering the suspension, park the machine on a level surface and in a convenient position for shipping or servicing purposes.Note: Do not shut off the engine.
Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position. Block the trailer wheels.

Install the steering frame locks (1). Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
Move the parking and secondary brake control to the DISENGAGED position.Note: The tractor wheels must be allowed to rotate as the suspension lowers.

The control valves are located on left side of the machine next to the transmission.
Open control valve (2) and control valve (3). When the suspension is fully lowered, close both control valves.
Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position.
Remove the blocks for the trailer wheels.
When shipping or servicing is complete, remove the steering frame locks (1) .Setting the Suspension
Do not set the suspension until the machine has arrived at the intended destination. Service work must be complete and personnel must be clear of the machine prior to setting the suspension.In order to ensure the correct operation of the suspension system, the height must be set correctly.Use the following procedure to set the suspension:
Lower the suspension.Refer to "Lowering the Suspension".Note: Do not remove the wheel blocks.

Measure the distance between the wheel rim and the top of the fender. Note dimension "A".
Move the parking and secondary brake control to the DISENGAGED position.

Move the ejector control to the HOLD position (4) and then move the ejector control to the SUSPENSION position (6). This allows pump oil to enter the suspension system. Operate the ejector control intermittently between the SUSPENSION position (6) and the HOLD position (4). Operate the control until dimension (A) has increased by 100 mm (4 inches).
When the front suspension system is raised to the predetermined height, move the ejector control to the HOLD position (4) and close valve (3) .
Move the parking and secondary brake control to the ENGAGED position. Move the ejector control to the RETRACT position (5) and stop the engine.
Remove the steering frame locks and remove the wheel blocks.
