Always wear safety glasses and wear protective clothing when you install and when you remove the pins.
Bucket Tips

(1) Usable (2) Replace this bucket tip. (3) OverwornCheck the bucket tips for wear. If the bucket tip has a hole, replace the bucket tip.
Remove the pin from the bucket tip. The pin can be removed by one of the following methods.
Use a hammer and a punch from the retainer side of the bucket to drive out the pin.
Use a Pin-Master. Follow Step 1.a through Step 1.c for the procedure.

(4) Back of Pin-Master (5) Extractor
Place the Pin-Master on the bucket tooth.
Align extractor (5) with the pin.
Strike the Pin-Master at the back of the tool (4) and remove the pin.Note: Discard the old pin and the retainer assembly. When you change tips, use a new pin and a new retainer assembly. Refer to the appropriate parts manual for your machine.

(6) Retainer assembly (7) Adapter
Fit retainer assembly (6) into the adapter. Install this assembly into the counterbore that is in the side of adapter (7). When you place the retainer assembly in the counterbore make sure that the marking "OUTSIDE" is visible.

Install the new bucket tip onto the adapter.Note: The bucket tips can be rotated by 180 degrees in order to allow the tip to wear evenly. You may also move the tips from the outside teeth to the inside teeth. Check the tips often. If wear is present on the tips, rotate the tips. The outside teeth generate the most wear.
Drive a new pin through the bucket tip. The pin can be installed by using one of the following methods:
From the same side of the retainer, drive the pin through the bucket tip, the adapter, and the retainer assembly.
Use a Pin-Master. Follow Step 4.a through Step 4.e for the procedure.

(4) Back of Pin-Master (8) Pin setter (9) Pin holder
Insert the new pin through the bucket tip.
Place the Pin-Master over the bucket tooth and locate the pin in the hole of holder (9) .
Strike the tool with a hammer at the back of the tool (4) in order to start the pin.
Slide pin holder (9) away from the pin and rotate the tool slightly in order to align pin setter (8) with the pin.
Strike the end of the tool until the pin is fully inserted.
After you drive the pin, make sure that the retainer assembly fits snugly into the pin groove. The pin should be centered in the tip.Side Cutters

Remove the mounting bolts and the side cutters.
Clean the mounting surfaces.Note: Some side cutters may be rotated for additional wear.
Install the new side cutters or the rotated side cutters.
