1. Remove bolt (2) from pin (1). Remove pin (1). 2. Remove bolt (3), retainer (4) and the shims from the end of the pin that holds the clamp arm to the shear frame. 3. Fasten a strap and hoist to clamp arm (5). Remove the bolt that holds pin (6) in place and remove the pin. Remove clamp arm (5). Weight is approximately 29 kg (65 lb.).Install Clamp Arms
1. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the bearing in the clamp arm and eye of the cylinder. 2. Fasten a strap and hoist to clamp arm (1) and put it in position on the shear frame. 3. Install pin (3) with the hole in the pin in alignment with hole (2) in the shear frame. Install the bolt through hole (2) and the pin to hold the pin in place. 4. Install the shims, retainer (4) and bolt (5) on the top end of pin (3). Tighten bolt (5) to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb.ft.). Use a feeler gauge to check the clearance between retainer (4) and the shear frame. Adjust the number of shims under retainer (4) so the clearance is 1 1 mm (.039 .039 in.). 5. Install pin (6) through the clamp arm and eye (7) of the clamp arm cylinder with the bolt hole in the pin in alignment with the bolt hole in the clamp arm. Install the bolt through the clamp arm and pin (6).
