Start By:
Remove the service brakes from the right side of the front axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Service Brakes - Remove".

Remove hose assembly (1).

Attach a suitable lifting device to intermediate housing (3). The weight of intermediate housing (3) is approximately 73 kg (161 lb). Remove allen head bolts (2) and remove intermediate housing (3).

Remove bolt (4) and lock (5). Remove nut (6). Remove piston (7) from intermediate housing (3). Remove seals (8) and (9) from piston (7). Remove bushing (10) from intermediate housing (3).

Remove bearing cup (11) from intermediate housing (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device to pinion housing (13). The weight of pinion housing (13) is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Remove bolts (12) and pinion housing (13).

Remove shims (15) and O-ring seal (14).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove the locking assembly from the axle assembly as a unit.
Remove the collar (17) out of fork (16).
Remove the retaining ring (18) and spring (19).

Remove retaining rings (20) and (24) from rod (23). Remove rod (23), washer (21) and spring (22) from fork (16).

Remove pins (25) from the differential housing. Remove the O-ring seal from each pin (25).

Attach a suitable lifting device to differential assembly (26). The weight of differential assembly (26) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb). Remove differential assembly (26).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove bearing cone (27).

Remove bearing cup (29) from the axle housing.
